Keanu Reeves in “The Matrix Reloaded”!

Welcome to Miss TaffeytheChamp’s Blog. I am sure that many of you are familiar with the Keanu Reeves’ film entitled, “The Matrix Reloaded”. I certainly am, and so I shall make it the topic of discussion for this week. This second part within “The Matrix” trilogy was quite exciting and contained unexpected elements within it; to say the least.

It was fascinating watching “Neo” in his continuing journey as “The One”. An intriguing aspect was witnessing the love grow and deepen more between “Neo” and “Trinity”. Now, it was obvious in the original film that “Neo” and “Trinity” felt an undeniable, yet potent attraction; though they both tried to disguise it. But, in this film, they clearly expressed their mutual feelings and even displayed them in a blissful lovemaking scene. That is, until “Neo” had a vivid nightmare about “Trinity’s” fate soon afterward.

Storyline: “Six months after the events depicted in The Matrix, Neo has proved to be a good omen for the free humans, as more and more humans are being freed from the matrix and brought to Zion, the one and only stronghold of the Resistance. Neo himself has discovered his superpowers including super speed, ability to see the codes of the things inside the matrix, and a certain degree of precognition. But a nasty piece of news hits the human resistance: 250,000 machine sentinels are digging to Zion and would reach them in 72 hours. As Zion prepares for the ultimate war, Neo, Morpheus and Trinity are advised by the Oracle to find the Keymaker who would help them reach the Source. Meanwhile Neo’s recurrent dreams depicting Trinity’s death have got him worried and as if it was not enough, Agent Smith has somehow escaped deletion, has become more powerful than before and has chosen Neo as his next target.” Written by Soumitra at imdb.com

In “The Matrix Reloaded”, Keanu Reeves as “Neo” (aka “The One”), was gorgeous (particularly, in his Asian-style black suit) and extremely impressive whilst demonstrating his superhuman skills inside the surreal, computer-induced “Matrix” world. As I have told Keanu, I always considered and designated “Neo” as “The Matrix Superman”. If you think about it, it makes sense. His combat skills were superb, his neuro-kinetic moves were performed at hyper-speed, he would stop bullets with the halting-motion of only one hand, he seemed to fly at the speed-of-light, and he even performed an outstanding surgical procedure upon “Trinity” inside “The Matrix” like a Super Surgeon. Thus, in my opinion, John Gaeta’s film magic worked even more wonders in this phenomenal sequel within “The Matrix” trilogy.

On the whole, “The Matrix Reloaded” was one splendidly orchestrated action/sci-fi film. It was definitely the most awe-inspiring film that I saw in the year of 2003. So, if it is at all possible that any of you have not seen it yet, please feel free to do so.
