If any of you are familiar with Keanu Reeves’ expansive film repertoire, then you may have seen the mesmerizing film, “Little Buddha”. Now, whether you have seen it or not, this Blog post’s importance is to give special condolences regarding the passing of a veritable cinematic maestro, the phenomenally-talented Bernardo Bertolucci. Although he directed “Little Buddha”, he was also well-known for directing the world-renowned film, “The Last Emperor”.

It is unfortunate that Bernardo Bertolucci has passed on during this joyous and festive holiday season. Yet, I could easily see that my Muse, Keanu Reeves, and this famed director shared a special camaraderie and rapport with mutual respect. Keanu always possessed admiration of Bertolucci’s pioneering work in films, as well. And this is why he was so enthused about having been cast in the part of “Saddartha” (aka the “Buddha”), in “Little Buddha”.

Brief Synopsis: “Lama Norbu comes to Seattle in search of the reincarnation of his dead teacher, Lama Dorje. His search leads him to young Jesse Conrad, Raju, a waif from Kathmandu, and an upper class Indian girl. Together, they journey to Bhutan where the three children must undergo a test to prove which is the true reincarnation. Interspersed with this, is the story of Siddhartha, later known as the Buddha. “Little Buddha” was quite an epic adventure of its time; especially, the particulars surrounding Keanu’s “Saddartha” character’s way of life. In actuality, “Little Buddha” consists of mystical elements regarding spirituality, demonic presences and attacks, and the most celestial and terrestrial spiritual battle; pitting good against evil. And most importantly, it appears to be an experience which unified Keanu Reeves and Bernardo Bertolucci in a close and timeless bond. It certainly appears that Bertolucci shall be yet another unforgettable individual indelibly ingrained upon my Muse, Keanu’s, memory and benevolent spirit.

Yet again, Keanu, you have my sincere condolences upon the passing of your treasured comrade, Bernardo Bertolucci. He was so very talented and appeared to be quite a humanitarian, as well. And I thank you immensely, Keanu Reeves, for being such a gracious and endearing Muse for your little Musee; Miss TaffeytheChamp. And I thank GOD, most significantly, above all, for any blessings which You have ever bestowed upon me.
