Are any of you familiar with Keanu Reeves’ film (intermixed with drama, mystery, and suspense) entitled, “The Watcher”? Well, I am familiar with it. So, I’d like to make it the focal topic of discussion this week.

This film, from the year 2000 starred James Spader, with Keanu Reeves starring alongside him. To be honest, I believe Keanu Reeves should have received a more positive accolades for his portrayal of “David Allen Griffin” (one of the killer’s aliases) in “The Watcher”. This serial killer character was quite believable in his insanity; and Keanu brought him to life. Whilst viewing the film, it was obvious that “David Allen Griffin” was quite a charismatic, psychopathic serial killer.

Storyline: {“David Allen Griffin is a cool killer- time and time again, he chooses a female victim, studies her for weeks till he knows her routine to the smallest detail, makes meticulous preparations using his forensic knowledge to gain entry when she’s quite alone, subdues her and administers a long, tortuous death. Joel Campbell got so frustrated by his failure to capture Griffin in LA that he quit the FBI, moved to Chicago and remains in psychiatric therapy, unable to function normally. Then he realizes, when opening his mail very late, that a new murder victim is Griffin’s, and the killer sends him pictures of her. Campbell reports this to the police, but is unwilling to join them in the search, suggesting Griffin is too slick and clever; yet he won’t get out of it that easily…” Written by KGF Vissers on}

And it is undeniable that Keanu Reeves was so attractive whilst portraying this serial killer that you could understand why the young ladies in the film had trouble resisting his charm. But since I study, and have studied, Psychology for years, psychotics are merely interesting in a clinical sense; in my opinion. That said, I am happy and thankful that Keanu Reeves is not mentally unhinged; as he is my Special Muse and Inspiration for my creative writing endeavors (my E-Book, specifically).

Please check out the Movie Review below:

{“Tense, twisting plot, great ending. The relationship between the characters in this crime drama sets it apart from other serial killer movies. In fact, I would have liked another 15 minutes in the movie to bring out these relationships even more. I would have liked a little more elaboration on what happened in the past between James Spader and Keanu Reeves. Reeves plays as the serial killer very well.” Written by Dean McKenna posted on}

In addition, there was quite a bit of humor involved in this film. As he was portraying this “David Allen Griffin” character, Keanu Reeves had to perform some comical dances with a gun. I believe it was supposed to demonstrate a psychotic serial killer marveling in his own genius and handiwork when cleverly orchestrating and carrying out serial killings. It was hilarious, but my favorite dance was the final sequence at the end of the film; when Keanu strutted toward James Spader’s prostrate form in a slow, yet steady rhythm, before ending the dance with placing the gun and his right hand like rabbit ears upon both sides of his head.

In my opinion, this is a very entertaining film, for any of you whose interest may be piqued. By the way, I am Creator of this Blog and Author of the Action Adventure/Futuristic Fantasy E-Book entitled, “The Mystery Alliance: Evian’s Saga”. As I stated earlier, Keanu Reeves is my own Special Muse and Inspiration; due to the fact that he inspired my creation of the protagonist (main character), “Evian Magi”. And “Evian Magi” is the Mystic Fantasy Hero version of Keanu Reeves.

I thank you emphatically, Keanu Reeves, for all of your beneficial kindness and assistance towards me. And I thank GOD, especially, for all the loving kindnesses which You have bestowed upon me. And everyone, please feel free to purchase a copy of “The Mystery Alliance: Evian’s Saga” on Amazon at:
